Vocational Training

AMAR PROVIDES VOCATIONAL TRAINING FOR SOME OF THE NEEDIEST MEMBERS OF SOCIETY, HELPING THEM TO FIND EMPLOYMENT OR START THEIR OWN BUSINESSES.

A lack of employable skills inhibits the ability of any community from taking advantage of the economic investment and development happening all around them. Alongside AMAR’s academic education projects, AMAR also empowers individuals through vocational subjects including sewing and tailoring, hairdressing and make-up, construction, infrastructure development, engineering and mechanics, agriculture, business language skills, office management and information technology. Once participants have completed these courses, they find themselves with greater self-confidence and in a much better position to find employment or start their own businesses.

“I believe my technical ability and scientific understanding has developed significantly. I am very comfortable in my lessons because the trainers teach us gradually and step-by-step. I thought it was hard at first but with our trainers I know now that it is not so difficult to learn and I am confident that my new skills will help me find a job.”
